Maybe, I just can’t have my cake and eat it too

At some moment,

we reach a point in our lives when we realize that we just can’t have it all,

and that we have to make our decisions based on, not only what is best for ourselves,

but also what is best for those around us who love us and care about us.

I may not like the writing on the wall, and it may not be the choices I would make if I won the lottery,

but it is the choice to make in order to best honor those who care about us and wish us well too.

I may just be at that point.

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
