Skin issues with the needle sticks

I kinda figured I would be more likely than average to get skin infections doing the SubQ Ig…I have history of little skin infections from needle sticks and pokes..I’ve had more than I can count.

This one isn’t as bad as the first one I had a week or two ago (maybe the Ig is building up in my system, so it’s not going to be as bad?)

I decided I’m actually not going to treat this one, since it’s not as bad, and I’m going to let it go…I’m hoping it will clear up on its own this time.

(Tonight I was super super super careful, and I extra cleaned my skin, then made sure not to wiggle the needle in my stomach when I was infusing the medicine into my stomach lining. If I get an infection this time, then there was nothing else I could have done better.)

The good news, is the Ig is definitely working–I have the energy to get up and do things, for the first time in a long time. The pain in my left lung is still there, but it’s not as painful…I think it’s going to be gone soon.

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
