‘The Nurse’s Remedy’: I have another horrible cold.

This cold isn’t quite as bad as the one I had a week after I arrived in Ottawa, but it’s still pretty bad. I have a horrible sore throat (worse sore throat I’ve had in years), which came on very suddenly, and then the horrible sinus pressure.

I’ve been making ‘The Nurse’s Remedy’ all day, hoping that it will keep the cold under control.

(I had a nurse once tell me when I was admitted in the hospital at Cedars, ever since she started having a cup of hot tea with honey and lemon, every night after her shift at the hospital, she hasn’t gotten a cold.)

This is my seventh cup today. Decaf tea, of course…

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
