Meaning, the patient gets the virus, has the cold, then the cold goes away, but the antibodies that were created by the immune system to fight the virus, now turn on the nervous system to destroy it. Or, another part of the immune system that was trigger to fight it–then after the virus is gone now turns on the body, which is why they can’t find the virus in the spinal fluid, becuase whatever turned on the body actually looks like a normal part of the body on first glance–

There’s just so much about the immune response we don’t understand…i told you, I’m missing part of an essential piece that probably hasn’t even been discovered yet…
