“You’ll understand when you’re 40”

I told David he needed to write 300 words a day for his novel, every day, and to keep writing novels, and that he would understand why when he’s 40 years old.

“I know you don’t understand why it’s so important that you write novels, and that’s okay, you don’t need to understand now. What you need to understand now is simply that you need to do it. The why, will make sense to you when you’re forty.”

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
