‘Patient Advocate’ crap

It’s a sorry state of the medical system that patients need to hire ‘advocates’. What happened to medicine in the good old days, when your doctor was your advocate?

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever.
