Heat therapy: Something I haven’t tried yet

I’ve thought about this in the past, and I do use my mini portable sauna, but applying direct heat to my neck and shoulder…haven’t tried that yet.

I’m a big believer in the power of heat to heal the body. The Finnish have a phrase that basically means ‘if the sauna can’t cure it then it’s gonna kill you’, because the sauna can cure almost everything.

But heat directly on the infected area…hmmm…the idea behind it is that the heat activates immune cells to go to that area. We can’t ever make it hot enough to kill bacteria directly (it would kill you), but we can raise temperatures to tell the fighter parts of our body to get mobilized…it gets the blood flowing to the area…

Gonna try it…

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
