Noah has another sinus infection

I’m gonna call your office in the morning and try to bring him in to see you tomorrow after school (or Dr. Shurin or Dr. Diamond if you’re busy 🙂

I’ll also make another appointment for Noah with Dr. Kachru, but it usually takes a few months…

Noah’s been good about taking his daily antibiotics the last few weeks, it might just not be strong enough for him anymore…

He probably needs another Zpack for this infection, then we can start doubling his daily antibiotics from once a day to twice a day until we get in to see Dr. Kachru.

(I also got a referral from Dr. Wong to go and see Dr. Butte, so I’m make that appointment too.)

High school was when I started to have serious problems…I wish we could start him on low dose IVIg. Even 12g/month might help him a little bit. This is the second infection he’s had this school year so far…reminds me of when he was little and not on any antibiotics, he’d get sick, we’d treat him, then a couple of weeks later he’d get sick again…

I hope you’re doing well 🙂

Warmly,
Tara

(Noah really has to go to school tomorrow, he has a big group project to present, so as long as he can make it he really needs to go. These infections are kind of slow-ish developing (usually), so he should be okay until we get him into your office 🙂

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
