We’re related to John Locke (the famous 17th century philosopher)

I just stumbled upon something interesting—

John Locke (the famous philosopher) is the nephew of our 10th great grandfather.

John Locke’s father, John Locke, Sr, had a younger brother, Thomas Locke. We’re a descendent of Thomas Locke.

(*Not* to be confused with Thomas Locke, the famous philosopher’s brother—we’re a direct descendant of the younger brother of John Locke, Sr.)

And our Locke relative eventually married William Berry, and they came to the United States—I wonder if Poppy knew his 6th great grandmother was a relative of the philosopher Locke 🤔. Considering all the thinking we used to like to do together, very poetic. ❤️

Kinda cool, isn’t it? I’m sure if everyone goes back far enough into their family tree, they’ll find someone cool that they’re related too, but I love we’re related to such a great thinker (and John Locke was also a physician too, but he’s of course famous for his writings—)

A doctor who likes to write…sounds like my dream husband, lol. Little did I know it was just an old relative 😜👍

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
