I got through the swallowing tests okay — it was kinda cool watching the barium marshmallow puddling slide down my throat on the xray. Kinda spooky watching a skeleton in action 🤪.

Since my coughing fits start 30-60 min *after* I eat (or even drink) i think it’s more likely my diaphragm or my lungs (expanding pressure from my stomach irritating one of them),

but doing these tests today it’s a matter of being thorough and eliminating the various possibilities.

The speech pathologist who was administering the test was very friendly and had an engagement ring on, I congratulated her (wedding on Nov 14! 🔔 )

it was exciting to feel her hope and enthusiasm for the future..:I’ve kind of forgotten what that was like, to be in a moment in time and so hopeful and passionate about the pathway in front of you….it was nice to feel the future in her eyes, I hope it works out for her ❤️
