I made Salmon and rice for Noah tonight, since they were on the list of things to help someone gain weight,
And he’s been picking at it for 2 hours…
Then when I said “you’re not leaving until you finish”,
Noah said he was having a problem eating the salmon, because
“The salmon feels funny on my tongue–”
Wow…that’s a new excuse, food feeling funny on his tongue…usually it’s the sugar excuse, ‘sugar isn’t good for you’, how it feels on the tongue is a new one..
Of course I told Noah he had to keep eating it anyway, and he couldn’t leave the couch until he was finished the salmon at least,
but this is what I mean by helping Noah eat is a full time job — if I wasn’t sitting with him, he wouldn’t finish his plate — and it’s literally been over two hours and he’s probably eaten only 10% of what I put on there —
Dr Sherman gave me the idea, to start having family meals with Noah, and he’s right…it’s really the only way to make sure Noah eats everything on his plate…but it’s painful, it’s intensive, I have to stay with him and keep on reminding him ‘take a bite take a bite take a bite’
Very frustrating…
I’m really worried…
