Noah’s final ‘well check’ at Pediatrician’s office

Noah had his last well check today, it’s basically a good-bye meeting…wrapping up one leg of Noah’s healthcare journey in preparation for the next leg…

Noah weighs 98 pounds without any clothes on…98 pounds…1 pound *less* than the last time he was there a couple of years ago…

Pediatrician reiterated Noah looks malnourished and that he needs a comprehensive strategy to overcome it…she agreed college isn’t an option until his health gets stabilized…she likes that Cathy is coming to help, clearly Noah needs a lot of support right now…

And…if that wasn’t enough, Noah has a fungal infection all over his back, probably related to his malnourish/immune deficiency. we have to get a cream to put on it twice a day for a month….

She’s excited Noah sent the genetics test, to find out which strand of the connective tissue disorder he has, and she liked that Noah has a bunch of appointments with specialists over the next couple of weeks..she said he needs a full work up…

But the main issue is Noah’s weight, gaining weight has to be Noah’s focus for the next couple of months, no matter what the cause, until he’s up to 140 minimum…

It’s going to take an entire team to support him, but she said that’s normal for severe eating disorders…

It takes a village 🥰❤️

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
