I left the ER — they were very busy, and I didn’t want to risk them calling you at 2am

I left the ER, I’m going to go back in the morning for a tetanus shot (maybe I can try an urgent care? 🤔)

When I was checking in, the nurse said the drug of choice for dog bites was Augmentin, which I have some here,

so I’m going to start it now then get a prescription in the morning…she also said I have a 72 hour window to get Tetanus shot, so I figured it was safe to leave Cedars and come back in a couple of hours when things calm down a little bit —

Saturday night in the Cedars ER…packed house…I waited for 3 hours, then the check in nurse said I probably had at least 2 more hours to go, so since my case wasn’t super urgent I figured let them deal with all the Saturday night bloodshed,

then come back and catch the well rested 7am morning shift 🙂

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
