Blood kits and David about camp :)

Copy of an email I sent to Ryan at CHOP. I am so grateful for everyone who helps us on our case. I know it’s hard.

Subject: Blood kits and David about camp πŸ™‚

David was so funny. When I picked him up from camp today, he said, “mommy, good thing I took my antibiotics every day, otherwise I *definitely* would have gotten sick this week.”

He already knows by instinct too what’s gonna make us sick πŸ™‚

I guess David didn’t wear his bug repellent, and now he has so many bug bites it’s making me nervous. I have some antibiotic cream I’m going to use on the bigger ones (I get so many skin infections I always have some on hand),

but it’s definitely the one and only time he’s going to outdoor camp, lol. This camp is a family tradition in my family, and I would have been okay with it if he hadn’t gotten so many bug bites, but this is definitely flirting too much with something bad πŸ™‚

Not to mention I don’t think he liked it in general. Outdoor activities have never been his thing πŸ™‚

(How is everything going with Dr. Sa. Have you heard from her about the C2 kits? If you haven’t heard from her, let me know.)

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
