My dang port

I had to make an appointment at the procedure center for my port…to get it flushed with TPA.

I have no idea why I make so much dang fibrin in my blood, but I think there must be a connection between my fibrin issues and my immune disorder. My uncle used to say he always healed well after surgery, maybe the extra fibrin is evolutions way of compensating for the deficiency?

It’s annoying though, when it comes to my port..I really need to have this port at all times, in case of an emergency…I have absolutely no veins left.

When they did surgery for this port, they had to put a vein in my foot–and that took 4 sticks in my foot. They were about to put one in my neck…

About hopeforanswers

Some kind of rare immune deficiency, yet to be determined. A lifetime of infections without an elevated white cell blood or fever. Very grateful to be alive, very thankful for the friends who’ve supported me and for access to literally millions of dollars worth of medical care. I’m not the bubble child, I’m somewhere in between.
